Winter Trip 2017 itinerary announced!

Here are the details for this year’s Christmas trip to visit to The World of Steiff, Teddy Hermann, Kösen and the Christmas markets, which runs from 2nd - 6th December.
This year’s trip will once again be five days and features several changes from the past couple of years, which you will be able to see on the itinerary below:

Saturday 2nd December
06.30 Meet in Heathrow Terminal 5 in zone G to be checked in.
08.35 Depart for Berlin (Tegel) with British Airways (BA0992).
11.25 Arrive Berlin (Tegel).
Depart via coach for Leipzig. We will stop for a snack on the autobahn.
16.00 Arrival at the Mutiger Ritter Hotel in Bad Kösen.
Free time to settle in and explore.
19.00 Dinner especially for visitors and exhibitors featuring entertainment.

Sunday 3rd December
Breakfast and then…
Day to enjoy the 3rd Mid German Teddy Bear and Soft Toy Fair organised by Kösen, as well as a visit to Kösen’s production and outlet shop.
There will be a buffet lunch in the hotel.
16.30 Depart via coach for Gasthof Schiller.
19.00 Arrive Gasthof Schiller.
19.30 Dinner.

Monday 4th December
08.45 Depart hotel for Teddy Hermann
09.00 Arrive at Teddy Hermann for welcome. Spend the morning at Teddy Hermann to include:
o Tour of production
o Visit to the factory shop, which includes special offers, discontinued items and sample pieces. Always a very popular part of the trip!
o Refreshments to keep our energy levels up. As always there will be plenty of mulled wine, coffee and lebkuchen!
12.00 Depart via coach for Giengen
14.00 Stop at Rothenburg for a visit to the Christmas market. We always love visiting this beautiful town. There is also the bonus of the famous Christmas shop Käthe Wohlfahrt and the teddy bear shop Teddys Rothburg.
17.30. Depart for Giengen
19.00 Arrive at the Salzburger Hof Hotel in Giengen.
20.00 Dinner in the hotel.

Tuesday 5th December
09.15 Depart hotel. A short walk.
09.30 Welcome at Steiff. This will include a presentation of some of the 2018 Steiff Club and limited edition pieces. Followed by free time which can include:
o Visit to The World of Steiff followed by plenty of time to look in The World of Steiff shop.
o Visit to the seconds shop.
o Visit to Margarete Steiff’s birthplace.
o Lunch in the Steiff Bistro Knopf.
o Visit into the factory – details to be confirmed.
15.00 Depart for Ulm
16.00 Arrive in Ulm. Time to enjoy the Christmas market in the cathedral square before we walk down to the Zunfthaus restaurant in the fisherman’s district for an early dinner.
19.00 Dinner at the Zunfthaus restaurant in the fisherman’s district, followed by a transfer back to the Salzburger Hof in Giengen.

Wednesday 6th December
09.00 Depart hotel. Coach journey to Stuttgart
10.30 Arrive in Stuttgart. Our base for the day is yet to be confirmed, but it will be a Steiff retailer.
Free time to visit the huge Christmas market and explore the city centre!
16.15 Transfer by coach to Stuttgart airport and depart at 19.30 for Heathrow (BA957)
With the 1-hour time difference, we arrive back at Heathrow 18.20
