Steiff No 1 auction in aid of War Child!

We are very pleased to offer this very rare teddy bear for ebay auction with 50% of the proceeds going to the charity War Child.  This bear is the 2001 Steiff Club Event teddy bear and is the number 1, which makes him incredibly rare.  Steiff usually always keep the number 1s, so this slipped through the net and has been safely tucked away in our archives ever since!  We decided to sell him this year as he will contribute towards our fundraising activities to celebrate the 25th Birthday of The Bear Garden.  We have set ourselves the challenge of trying to raise £25,000 in 2017 for our chosen charity War Child.  Today we hit £10,000, so thank you to everyone who has helped get us this far.

The 2001 Steiff Club Event teddy bear was only available to stockists who held a Steiff Event, which is something we do every year.  He is 19cm / 8 inches tall, is made from the finest blond mohair and has a gold-plated "Button in Ear".  He wears a green sash which says "Steiff Club Event - The Bear Garden 2001".
