This beautiful teddy bear has been created in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's 95th birthday in April 2021. Made from pale caramel coloured mohair, she has blue eyes and is inspired by Queen Elizabeth's refined sense of dress. She wears an overcoat and matching hat that have been crafted from the finest turquoise silk. Her magnificent hat is decorated with three handmade organza roses and her coat is detailed with pearlescent buttons and an exquisitely embroidered replica of the cherished turquoise and diamond brooch give to her by Queen Mary. Her feet are made from pure cotton velvet and Her Majesty's royal cypher is embroidered on her foot pad in striking golden thread.
She is individually numbered as part of a special edition and she is presented in a luxury gift box.
Merrythought was founded in 1930 by Mr W.G. Holmes. Today the company is run by his great-granddaughters and production is still based on the original site in Ironbridge, Shropshire.
