Part of Steiff's delightful Family collection; Friedhelm's Horse on Wheels pays tribute to Margarete Steiff's great nephew and former managing director Friedhelm Steiff. Friedhelm was gifted his horse for Christmas in 1939 and it became his most treasured childhood toy.
Made from the finest wool felt like his predecessor, this exquisite Horse on Wheels exudes all of the charm of Friedhelm's horse, from his long mohair mane and tail to the saddle, which has been recreated in vegan leather.
He is limited to 934 pieces (Friedhelm's birth year) and comes with his numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve. Each Horse on Wheels is accompanied by a copy of a photograph of Friedhelm and his Horse on Wheels in a custom made photo frame that is inspired by the green window panes of the Steiff factory hall.
