Katrin is the Designer's Choice little elephant for 2020. Designed by Steiff designer Katrin Sandmann, this stunning elephant is made from the finest mohair to create this statement design. Katrin is inspired by the 1901 painting Seated Harlequin by the iconic artist Pablo Picasso, which showcased the young painter's early Cubist style.

This exquisite Steiff elephant gives a respectful nod to the little elephant pin cushion that so modestly began the company in 1880. Katrin has a black and blue checkerboard 'saddle' which is beautifully striking against the pale grey of her body. She stands upon pieces of laser cut blue wool felt.

She is limited to 500 pieces worldwide and comes with her numbered certificate in a Steiff gift box with its original protective cardboard outer sleeve. Like all of the limited editions created in Steiff's 140th Jubilee year in 2020, she has a gold plated 'Button in Ear' featuring the special celebratory elephant motif.
