Bernard is an adorable clown teddy bear made from gorgeous soft buttered toast coloured extra long pile fabric. He has beautifully crafted suedette footpads with intricate stitching detail, which enable him to stand unaided. Bernard has glass eyes and is part-filled with steel shot and he wears a charming dip-dyed silk ribbon ruff around his neck finished with a golden jingle bell and a delightful clown's hat crafted from mustard coloured suedette and adorned with orange pom poms.

Bernard is a one-of-a-kind teddy bear and has been made especially for The Bear Garden.

Bear artist Jane Mogford is based in Staffordshire. She had been collecting bears long before she first tried her hand at making bears in 1997. One thing led to another and in 1998 Pipkin Bears was born.
